My Family and I are heading up to Lower Clam Lake in Ashland County, East of Hayward this weekend. Anyone have experience fishing the lake or any presentations that would work well this time of year?

C$, I’ve heard crawlers and leeches are doing well for bass and catfish on the Clam River and white/black spinners for northerns.
My family vacationed on the Clam River 2 weeks ago. The kids caught a few very small bluegills/bass off the dock. Otherwise the fishing (I tried for everything and used several methods) was VERY slow. We are going back on 7/15 for about a week. REALLY hoping the fishing is better this time. I may pull the boat out and try some area lakes. If anyone has any suggestions for the area PLEASE let me know. I’m interested in whatever is biting!
