Pewaukee is the best lake in that area, known as a musky lake it is also excellent for walleye, bass and panfish. Since I don’t live in that area anymore I don’t have current info on spots but that is the lake I would home in on….

That is prime time for the salmon bite on lake Michigan. I highly recommend doing a charter.

I fish the lakes in this area often as I live in the area. I would avoid Pewaukee lake in June. It gets way to crowded and there to many kids in daddy’s pleasure boat with no clue about safe boating. I personally have narrowly missed being hit at least a half dozen times while fishing. Oconomowoc lake itself is a good fishery but may be hard to access with a pontoon from the public launch as you have to navigate a narrow shallow “river” to get to the lake. Good smallie lake and bluegill lake. Okauchee lake is good for crappies( if you can locate them) and has great bluegill action in June. Also good bass population and northerner plus muskies.- this is one of my favorite lakes. Pine lake is also nearby to the north but can be tuff to fish because of the ultra clear water. It has some decent panfish action and some feisty smallie as well. Several other lakes exist in the area that can be fun to fish as well. Just be prepared for a crowd at most of them. I would be willing to share some spots on the lakes I have mentioned through PM.

This charter put 5 of us on a limit a couple years back. They are out of Port Washington. There is a bunch of them out of Milwaukee too but I haven’t used them.

I would say that the best action lake in the area is Lac La belle. Plenty of walleye, white bass, and even crappie and gills, samllies and lm, pike and skis. Pretty easy lake to fish but recognize that if you’re looking for keeper eyes, this aint the pllace to fish. You can only take one over 20 inches, and after fishing this lake about 15 times a year, for many years may thru august, never have caught a legal.
If you’re interested in this lake, shoot me a PM.
