I noticed the gills were on bed in Cedar last Sunday. Just wanted to mention.

Is it me or are the sunnies nesting later than usual? I kept enough for a meal last Saturday and females were carrying eggs. Also, no action on the usual nesting areas that have always produced. I was thinking we missed it….

I was just moving down a shoreline break casting. 4-6 ft. My wife and I were boating/relaxing. Twice I came across nice secret beds. I was ticked I forgot to bring a gil rod.
I actually didnt catch a fish but lost a good bass within site, had a couple more hits and one decent musky follow.
I was only out 1.5 hours tops. Looked like it was going to storm so we bailed. It never did. First time on Cedar in a boat.

You caught 12 to 12.5 inch gills? Guess I better get up there to chase the state record or at least get a mounter..
