You guys ever try Bill’s Horse Radish? It’s made in Luck. I know a place to buy it in Spooner. The Hot Mustard is even stronger than straight radish. I’m eating it now on pretzels and its dropping me to my knees! mmmmmmmm

Never had the kind your talking about but it sounds good, and I do like horses radish lol. I’m glad you posted this thread because I’ve got a pork roast in the pot right now, be done at 7:00 and its time to get the horse radish out. Pork roast sanwiches with a layer of horse radish on it, one of my top sandwiches, good stuff.
I remember the first time I ever ground fresh horse radish. I put it in the blender with some salt and vinegar and when I got the grind I wanted I took the lid off and put my nose down and took a good whiff, it took the wind right out of me and I couldn’t see for over a minute, whew! was that stuff good.
January 25, 2012 at 12:08 am #1031641Where can you get this stuff, I lov a good HOT Horseradish. We make it every year but it’s not as hot as I would like.
January 25, 2012 at 1:22 am #1031672For some reason I was just thinking about some homemade horse radish that the bar tender pulled from behind the bar at a little hole in the wall place outside of Aitkin. Took the lid off that jar and people started moving down the bar away from me. Horse radish and pickled pigs feet and Im talking the good pigs feet with lots of meat on them. Not the straight fat ones you get in the store nowadays.
Horse radish, baked sourcrout and ham hawks.

Hey Nut ever had a hot beef at Ray’s? They have a potent Horsy-mustard sauce that will take your breath away. Yum Yum. It can be bought at Ray’s OTC
January 25, 2012 at 12:24 pm #1031730How to make hotter Horse radish! Dont add vinegar or anything to it until 10 to 15 minutes after it comes out of the grinder. Then add your vinegar and spices. When grinding the radish releases an oil which provides the aroma and heat. The longer it is released without sealing the root (vinegar) the hotter it gets. I made some this winter and had some bad vinegar (weak) Strongest Radish Ever
My fridge still stinks after I threw it out 3 weeks ago.January 25, 2012 at 2:49 pm #1031773Quote:

Thanks. My wife goes to Spooner for a meeting once a month and I ask her to pick some up. I’ll make sure she brings cash, but a trip to Spooner wouldn’t be so bad. LOL
January 26, 2012 at 6:34 pm #1032277It’s on Main Street. West side of 63. Across from Spooner Outlet. Which is another nice store….
