even after all the rain and sleet and slopp we had last week the ice is still improveing got out friday and sat night and there is almost 8 inches of ice in places,not bad/hey good luck to all………….

Very little right now and they are not forecasting very much in the future, even lake effect!!! Ice conditions could/should be getting better and better. We fished a current area last night and had 6″. We even got 5 fish ‘tween the two of us!!! Now if I could get a picture to post… (new ‘puter)

Mercer reports 4″-5″ of snow, while Hurley reports 12″-15″ of snow. Trails in Iron County have been groomed except the swamps that are not quite frozen. The Turtle-Flambeau Flowage has 6″-8″ of ice as of Dec. 18, 2011.
