Anybody fishing??

No reports on fish or ice or snow….. Did they close this lake for the winter?

I have to agree. This past summer was nothing short of awesome so I thought for sure this forum would be hopping.

went up for the 6th through the 9th. was pretty slow fishing. were not where we wanted due to slush and weather . we did manage a few eyes, 1 keeper, 1 throw back, and 4 or 5 lost on teh way up. also a pout, 1 northern and plenty of perch, with about 20 keepers mixed in. everything was hugging bottom. perch were get them there then dump in the mud and watch them take it. without the camera we would have caught much fewer fish. as we were setting the hook watching the camera as you could not really feel them lip the minnow’s.

Nobody posting anything new so just going to head up myself and see. Group of 8 of us going to Highbanks Thursday to Monday. So I’ll try and update things when I get back. My cousin is flying in to Mpls this evening from LA for this trip. Now that is almost crazy.

My buddy was up two weekends ago. they caught alot of slot fish and some nice perch around bena. Look out for slush, he said one of the resort trucks drove into a pocket and was buried halfway up the doors. The guy had to climb out the window.

Managed to get a pic of the truck. Not the best but you can see its buried up to the windows. deeper than I thought

Holy…! That truck looks like its going through the ice. That’s some deeeeeep slush.
