I heard secondhand that is was slow. Hopefully things get going this week because I’m heading up on Thursday.

We did pretty good…Better on Sunday than Saturday. Caught fish everywhere from High Banks to Plughat to Mallard.

Keep the info coming! We are headed up on Wed. thru Sat. for our yearly trip. Weather sounds great, hopefully the fishing will be too. We are staying at high banks if anyone wants to share info and a beer. Can someone tell me the depths fish were caught in or water temps found?

    Thanks,

I will be up Wed morning through Sunday, camping in Cutfoot.

I hope the fishing picks up….even if it doesn’t the weather looks to be wonderful for being on the water!!!

I usually have the VHF radio on channel 19 give me a shout.

    Good luck!!

John, is Stickboy coming up with you too? I’ll try you on channel 19 otherwise keep an eye out for a black 20′ Skeeter tiller. Should be on the water by 2pm Thursday-Sunday. We stay at the Deer Lake campground on Cutfoot.

Good to hear a positive report coming in.

Spent the past three days fishing….fishing was slower than some openers, but better than others….spent most of our time fishing Highbanks….caught most fish rigging….shiners, rainbows, redtails, leeches and crawlers all caught fish….most big fish caught on crawlers….we seemed to catch more “overs” on Saturday (average size was between 17 and 22 inches)….more smaller fish on Sunday and Monday(average size between 15 and 19)…..big fish for the weekend was a 26 1/2….

We also pulled cranks in 5 to 8 feet of water for about and hour after dark….caught lots of small males….great way to catch “eaters”….used mainly #7 shallow shads and also #5 regular shads……largest cranking was 24 1/2.
