    Looking on heading up to winnie at the end of the month and never been there before would gladly help with the river for a bit of help here and no im not brutus or popeye!!!!!!!

    By late July you’ll want to focus on the mid lake structure (bars and humps as they’re referred to on Winnie maps). Generally fishing on the edges of the bars and humps. A consistent wind over a couple days can push the fish into the weedlines in the shallows.

    Lindy rigs with crawlers or leeches. Dragging cranks works well too…

    The humps are really hot right know and also you can pull limits of walleyes off alot of the main lake bars. We were up last week and had no problem catching fish. They are biting very good. Leeches and crawlers are both working with leeches working a little better. You shoould be able to pull a limit in 4-6 hrs (3-4 guy limit)if you stay on the main break lines. Pay attention to your sonar what depth the fish are in.
