This past weekend was…..COLD! Okay, obvious statement and the fishing was very good. We fished Cutfoot Sioux and the gap on Friday, but only found perch, northerns and an occassional walleye. We used minnow tipped jigs and bottom bouncers with a spinner snell, both presentations caught fish. On Saturday we moved to the north shore and found the fish in 6′ of water. We fished hard for three hours before the cold and rain got the best of us…for the day we caught approx 25 walleyes (kept 12 eaters) and released 6 slot fish. The northerns were mixed in with the eyes so needless to say we went through about a dozen jigs. All in all it was a fun trip.
