Just looking to see if the lake is still alive. About a dozen of us from all over are meeting up there on Thursday and hopefully somebody is having some luck. Helpful tips appreciated, we will have the Webber going every afternoon, so we would gladly give out food and a beer for some hot tips.

was up there Thur to Sat. Slow bite and mostly smaller perch for us. Scratched out about 20 keepers for three guys. Lot of hole hopping. Fish were there but getting them to bite was another story. Fished Ravens (best spot for us) and Zoomers. 24 to 28 ft was the magic depth. Heard some reports of good catches in 20ft but we didn’t find any takers at that depth.

The weather up here has been warm this week and is supposed to stay in the low 30s all week. Should improve the fishing and make travel easier around the lake.

I pulled my last two houses off today. they were out in front of highbanks. there was still quite a bit of snow on the lake, but the road banks are getting pretty soft.
    you can travel most anywhere.

there is a new break that pushed up some time in the last couple days. it runs off of tamarac point to the northwest , but it doesn’t appear that it goes all the way to high banks’ perch bar road. looked like it stopped short, though I didn’tgo check it out. it ran just to the north of my day house by about 70 yards. sure glad it broke there on the far side of my house

I did hear of a real good bite out by zumers bar today. it was in the morning and went pretty good until he was done at 11 with his limit of 9’s and bigger.
no details on the exact location, sorry I just dont know.

i will make another trip up there in a week or so after the ice is melted down to pick up junk left over from the winter.
I know I have a few blocks left out there that I want to recover.
maybe I’ll get lucky and find some goodies

We were on and around Zoomers all weekend, in order to catch fish we would punch a circle of holes, and one would spit out 4-6 keepers, we then moved out a couple hundred yards and do the same thing. You could go back to the first set of holes and re-pick up some fish. We fished some deeper water between Zoomers and Mallard and picked up some big fish. We also went onto Mallard and found some fish, it was there we had a good flurry right at sunset. No troubles getting around. We used gold pilkies (spelling?) and some perch prism lures with a chain and single hook, and also a treble with a head of a minnow. Some of our biggest came from a minnow and red hook under a bobber, and our crew came away with several at 12 inches, most in that 9-10 inches. Fun weekend, my face is now peeling from the sunburn, and my right hand can’t stop twitching.
