Jeff from Tamerack should be with you by tomorrow I would guess.
I’m here…and I have to appologize for not being more active. We have had a really crazy season and now we are getting even busier. We are in the process of building 4 new cabins right now and trying to get the resort ready for winter. If you have any specific questions, feel free to send me an email. We will start posting fishing reports once the ice season starts. As for right now. The Walleye and Perch fishing has been very good when you can get on the lake. It seems like the wind has been blowing for a month even though it’s only been a few days. With everyone out hunting, there haven’t been a lot of people on the lake. Typically this is the time of year that I’m out fishing alot myself, but it’s just not going to happen this year.
Anyway, feel free to email us if you have any questions.

What is happening at the lake is it frozen over yet any fish being caught have booked a long weekend Ice fishing and get worried when no one is talking.
Is there even a person with any info for the big lake around i plan to leave x-mas day need some info??? Fourwheelers?? been chasin answer for awhile now.
I have heard the wheelers are doing just ok out there and sleds are doing great. Ice reports are 8-12″ of ice and the fish are biting once located. Just normal Winnie Perch..drill until you hit the mother lode. Heading out myself on Sunday. I will post a report when I get back.
Jeff, how did it go? Anyone have a current report? I’m fishing somewhere this weekend and Winni is pretty high on the list right now.
My plan was to hit Winnie on Sat but then Mother Nature put a damper on that with the 35mph winds and -30 windchills. So I chose to pass it up until another weekend. But I am about to go through withdrawls to hit that lake!!!
30 MPH wind???
Saturday is supposed to be about 5 MPH and Sunday up to 10 MPH
Getting around on Winnie may be a challange at times. Sleds are doing good anf wheelers are sometimes having a problem. Lots of weight on the ice with water coming up when holes are drilled. Will be awhile before vehicles are driving out on the big lake.
Perch are going good in the shallows and walleyes are being caught on the humps.
Will be up there on Sat for sure.
That wind was last weeks wind! Yes this weekend it is supposed to be pretty nice up here.
I just got back from Winnie.
The ice is 8″ – 10″ thick where we fished. The slush is HORRIBLE in many spots so snowmobile travel is recommended. The fishing was very good. We targeted gills and crappies in 20′ – 23′ of water. Our largest gills were in the 13 – 15 oz. range and our largest crappies pushed an honest 2 lbs. White w/ pink head ratsos for the crappies and waxies on the largest diamond jigs were the ticket.
I am hoping that the extreme cold we had on Monday night froze some of that up. Call is for warm weather this weekend which my just be what we need to knock some of that insulating snow down.
Let’s keep our fingers grossed. I am heading to Bowstring tomorrow. Hope to have some pics and a report for you.
