I was wondering if anyone out there found a large number of fish?
I found alot but had a very difficult time finding 1 inside the 14-17″ slot.
My partner and I found alot of quality fish in the 18-22 foot range but all measured too big.

How did everyone else do. I would like to here from others
    that fished the tournament…

    Great fishing..

WE FOUND MOST OF THE FISH WE CAUGHT INSIDE OF SIX FEET OF WATER. WE HAD A 25 1/4 INCHER EARLY, BUT COULD NOT PASS THE 26 INCH MARK. MOST OF THE FISH WE CAUGHT CAME ON JIG AND MINNOW. MOST OF THE FISH WERE 12-13.5 INCHES. ITS BEEN TOUGH OUT THERE FOR THE LAST MONTH, NOT SURE WHAT IS LEFT FOR THAT 14-17 INCH CLASS TIME WILL TELL AS THE WATER COOLS, HOPEFULLY BEFORE THE SPETEMBER TOURNEY.

    Sean,
I am curious… If you were able to re-fish the tournament would you change any presentations you used?

From the results, it looks like you managed to weigh in 1 fish.
Were you doing a lot of sorting to find the 1 fish or did you catch only a few and one fell inside 14-17 inches?

We graphed a ton of fish hanging just off a shelf in 22 feet but we were only able to boat a few fish at 18″ to 19″, using spinners and crawlers. There were no 14-17 inches in the area we were fishing.

We pretty much sorted thru fish for a better part of the day. When we moved out deep for a couple hours, the action slowed for us considerable. We then moved in again and had much of the same action…lots of those small fish. If I could do it over….I would have tried a few more spots, its a tough call when you are catching. We had only one boat next to us all morning…they pulled a 14.5, 15 and 16 incher, as we could not get a slot fish….the luck has not been on my side the last couple of tournies….still a fun time…a little hot though
