Ice Out Should be soon…..

    Both Winnie and Cutfoot, should be ice free within a week. Any visitors plan on fishing opener? By the looks of the ice and how soon it shall open, the entire lake should be open this year. Little Cutfoot is completely open, for those of you that chase those slab crappies, game on there.

    The spring bite happens right after ice out. The fish stage in 20-30 feet of water, but you can find them off the drops near reed beds in cutfoot. They will be people fishing them this weekend and up until opener. A number of anglers find some dandies even during the first few weeks of the walleye season.
