ice conditions

    I am heading to Winnie next week. I was wondering how the ice is. I would like to drive my truck out on the lake but heard a guy on an ATV went thru in Brainerd last week and died. Should I make other plans to get around?

    Winnie has 28-30 inches of ice on it, no problem with driving the truck. Perchin has been good from center bar north to the Humps, look in 25-35 feet of water.
