Going to fish winnie on Sat during our Fathers Day fishing trip. Never fished during this time wondering where to go. I am thinking the mid lake flats are the way to go either rigging a leech or pulling spinners with a crawler. Anyone else going up?

Heard the fish are out on the bars. 72″ Roach rig with a crawler or leech. Let us know how you do.

Thanks for the reply, Hopefully the wind will cooperate. It’s suppose to be S15 anymore than that my brothers 16 ft boat won’t handle it.

We had the Fathers Day outing last Saturday. Went out of the south side and fish the bar on the south side and then went out to the middle. We used spinners and crawlers on the edges of the bars and once we found the fish we rigged leeches. It worked well for my boat at least. We drove 40 miles from our place only to find out that my brother left the 1/2 pound of leeches on the bait store counter . I fortunately had a dozen half dead leeches from weeks before to use. We ended up catching 10 walleyes to keep for the 3 of us and four over the slot. So given the circumstances it was a good day. Great day to fish though. overcast with a S5-10 wind.
