I am looking at a long weekend solo trip to Winnie (my favorite lake in the state) over Father’s Day weekend, and I am wondering if anyone can recommned cheap accomodations for Friday, Saturday, and Sunday night? Normally, we rent a big cabin, but as I will be alone, I certainly don’t need to do that for this trip. And heads-ups as to inexpensive motels would be greatly appreciated.

They seem to be the kind of people who want you to really enjoy yourself up there fishing. nodak lodge has a couple “hotel” rooms for rent. Really reasonable (in the neighborhood of $40 a night)and has all the stuff their cabins have….fridge,coffee,cable tv, etc….give roger and missy a call.

Treat yourself to a nice trip at Tamarack for $45 a night and you will get your own cabin. Very clean accommodations.
Jeff has a nice heated fish cleaning house.
I was up there last weekend and the cabin had everything I needed.
Even good clear TV reception for me to witness the Bulldogs take down #1 Wisconsin in hockey. 
I had zero complaints.
