Just got back from Winni and Cutfoot…didn’t actually fish Winni we concentrated on Cutfoot both Sat and Sun. Things were pretty slow, unfortunately, it sounded like we should have been there last Tues since everyone we talked to that was there limited out. 
We stuck to the 8-11 foot breaks and scraped together 6 nice eaters we kept, 3 over 17″ and 2 peewees that all got thrown back. One of the small ones came from 28′ of water…yeah that isn’t a typo….28 FEET. We were searching today and not finding anything shallow so I started moving deeper…I marked a lot of fish in the 22-30′ range but the one little guy is all we could coax in to biting.
The water temps were 50 on Sat and 47 on Sun. The fishing should just get better the colder the water gets up there, unfortunately…I don’t see another trip up there this fall for me….oh well….next year.
