The family and I are heading to Winnie this coming weekend. Any word on what depth to start looking for walleyes? I know (heard) the main lake humps and bars are holding fish, but any tips would be great. One more question, is there any preference on leech size? Thanks a lot.

I was on the lake Sunday and found a pretty good bite going on shallow on the west side of Stoney Pt. Not sure how long it will hold though. There are fish holding on just about all the off shore stuff, but you have to work for these eyes. Keep moving around a lot. There is also quite a few eyes using the cabbage. Good luck to you and your family.
PS. I’ve actually had better luck with large leechs instead of jumbos.
