Hey – I’m looking for a fish house to rent for my Spring Break Sunday March 13th and Monday, March 14th.

I’m fine with either a larger portable or something with wheels I can take on and off the ice. I’d prefer something on the large side but could be interested in whatever I can get.

Let me know if either you a) have a house you’d be interested in renting (We’re very courteous) or b) know of a business that does something along these lines.

    Thanks!

Jason is right on regarding anyone who does this service!!! And Jim is one of the most respected multi-species guides on the big lake at this time. Most of the shacks that are seen or used on the lake are of the portable nature and many of the locals use what is called a tent, which looks very similar to a teepee.

Thanks for the link. $175/day does sound a bit steep but the house does look pretty nice! Maybe late season I can get some type of discount.

I was just out last weekend on a saddle 1-2 miles off Washburn and was able to get 5 species: Smelt, tons of Perch, a nice Walleye, 3 browns, and even a sturgeon landed on 8 lb test! (pic attached) Pretty sweet species diversity. Walleye, Perch, and Smelt came off a buckshot, and browns all came off a deadstick only a few feet away from the buckshot.

Already have the fever to go back!

I assume ice is usually in good condition still mid march? Let me know if you guys have any tips for hot species that time of year.

Craig at Outdoor allure has a sleeper shack for rent I believe.
