finaly made it to the bay

    fished saturday out near the lighthouse,very slow,fished 6hours caught one small coho and a handfull of smelt,my brother had some schools of herring right below the ice but couldnt get them to commit lots of tiny perch around/i’ll be back.

    5 inches of ice and slush/ sounds scary this weeks cold snap should help eh!

    Well good to hear you caught a few fishes on your first trip to the bay..

    Just wanted to drop a line about those looking for lodging in the area when they come up here.. The Bayfront Inn, right near the access of the lake here in Bayfield has a 50 dollar a night room rate – two queens… You can have all your sleds or wheelers behind the place and be off to the lake in no time.. Just FYI for those traveling..

    Thanks for the heads up jim, I have a cabing in herbster but its closed up for the winter. 50 a night isnt too bad.
