Well this past week has been a bit slow on the Trout and Salmon trolling Washburn north. A few scattered catchs of nice size Coho’s and some nice 25 to 29 inches. Trolling along fishing from 10 to 50 ftow working everything from sticks to spoons & flasher flys nothing has been hotter than the other. Water temps are still in the low 50’s things should turn around here soon one would hope. A few Browns are being picked off as well not many yet. Inside the Cheq Bay the Smallmouth are starting each day to put on a heaver feed bag with a few smaller #’s stacking up, cover some water and you will find some smaller pods of fish inside of the channel on the Ashland side of the bay.
I cant wait for ice its always nice to pick off a few of them little bulldogs on the short rods!
