i posted a couple of weeks ago about a family “tourney” and i’m jiggin’ for info. we’ll be launching from superior and hunting for walleyes. are the fish still in the river? i know some stay there all year but the spawners are probably spread out. on the past we’ve stayed in the river with mixed results, but i’m willing to change. it’s the only time i’ll fish the area so i could use a little help. i’ll take any info i can get(if the spot is too hot for the public just pm me ). thanks

no, my brother in law has fam and friends come up for the day to fish. it’s more like a family fishing day. just trying to get the edge on the rest of the gang.

there are still some big eyes coming out of the river in shallow water. I mean 2 to 3 feet. But alot have moved out. There have been some caught right outside the superior entry in 40 to 50 fow. The thing about fishing out there is you will get salmon, lakers and a few walleyes right now. But ya the river still has plenty of fish in it.

ya, im ready. hopefully i can find some fish. do you have any suggestions about speed? i was thinking 1.5 to 2.0 in 2 to 5 feet. that has worked in the past.

I like 1.1 to 1.4 with bottom bouncers, or longlined spinners, and 2.1 to 2.3 for cranks
