    – Finally was able to get the 16.5′ Alumacraft out by 9am (due to wind) and set up in 70 fow WI side of the state line.
    – Didnt want Lakers so I ran all boards (didnt matter)
    – 57′, hot fire tiger, silver w/blue and pink ghost
    – 3 lakers 22″, 24″ and 26″
    – 2 Hos 17″ and 18″ both on 57′
    – 2.5-3mph
    – 60-80fow with deeper being better
    – 9am -noon , bite dying with the clock
    – Outside of the tea stained water
    – 46-52 degrees
    – Marked tons of bait and fish 50+fow (lakers)

    – Best catch of the day was a 12# jack russel. Lil guy loves to get right in the action and now has decided to walk the gunwales of my boat. He knows fish come from over the side of the boat and spends most of his time looking in the dead box or over the side.
Boat pitched, dog didnt right In the drink he went. Was able to grab him with my cat like reflexes (GF still does not belive that). Didnt seem to phaze him, had to yell at him to get down multiple times later in the day. –Mark

There were very few boats running out of Two Harbors last weekend. I was on the breakwater several times over three days but the NE wind really kept the bite at bay for me and the ones in boats that I spoke with were giving the same dreary reports. Coming home yesterday we saw only two boats between Two Harbors and Knife River. From McQuade to Duluth the boats were out in force though. All were fishing fairly tight to shore so I’m assuming the Cohos were there.

Lots of rain up there on Sunday night. I heard 3.9 inches or so. Every river we saw along the shore was puking out muddy water in huge volumnes so the rain gauge must be about right. Mudlines were starting and were going well out into the lake by 930 in the morning yesterday.
