Slow weekend, but still beat working!

We fished ranges from 92-240+ feet of water over the weekend. Seemed like the deeper water was better for the lake trout. Whitefish, were also very tight lipped. 3 guys and we managed to ice 13 lake trout over about 11 hours of fishing saturday and sunday. We kept 5 of those for eating, the biggest of those 5 was unreleasable, he just wouldn’t go, about a 21″ fish. We had 3 fish between 25-28″, but ovearall the size was down and the bite was slow. Creel census at the landing on saturday, checked 125 vehicles, which had 119 fish. Very little current, and the bites that we had were very soft. Smaller baits and subtle presentations were the key.
