I got the finish on these today and will let it harden a day or so before adding the rings and hooks. Working with this stuff in anticipation of hitting the big water really makes the wait hard. Three weeks yet.

    Good luck up there.

I’ve got watermelon in a bunch of other blade baits. The ones you see here are those that have put tons of fish in the freezer for me over the years.

Lurepartsonline.com. These are the scale pattern from the “special pattern trolling spoons” selection. #183-gold, #182-silver, both in the n1 size….3-1/4″. I also use the #093 silver and #094 gold blades in the same size with the diamond patter painted identical to those shown. The diamond pattern blades take the deep dive behind a ball or dipsy. These shown are super reflective and produce super good when the fishing is high in the water column, generally the top thirty feet.

If you want to pm me I’ll give you the lowdown on the paint used.

Here’s the last color I make for the big lake. This is my version of Wonderbread. The white under color is srayed with clear lacquer and then a fine coating of ultra glow pigment is dusted on. When the paint is dry to handle the excess pigment gets tapped off on a sheet of paper for re-use.

I use transparent vinyl paints to dot the colors on after I mix in just a wee bit of the corresponding color of glow pigment…blue gets glow blue, pink has glow red and the chartreuse has glow yellow. When the dots dry I re-spray the whole nine yards with the clear lacquer once more and then they dry for a couple days.

This color is made on silver plate and the entire back side is silver.

    Hey Tom

Those gold/orange blanks should be the ticket. Grant and I have caught a lot of nice fish on a similar pattern this summer.
