Here are some weighted trolling flies that will be taking the ride to Two Harbors a bit later this month. They weigh in at 1/2 ounce and can be cast if wanted.

Anything with green, blue, purple flash did the number on salmon last fall and the trout seemed to have an attachment to baits with orange and/or gold. Hopefully the preferences will still be what they were.

Where do you get your Mylar from?

I am looking to start tying my own peanut flies.

I really like your color combos too.

Cabelas had the mylar. Do-It Molds has the mylar too. Price-wise they are about the same. The Owatonna “belas” had two sizes of the mylar in 8″ hanks, one finer than the other. The stuff shown here is the fine.

Lots of static in mylar. Makes for some fun times. I had mylar bits and pieces on me in places I didn’t know existed. The garage bench and surrounding area are pretty wild looking too.

You can get banded mylar from Siggs Rigs or Purple Taco. Google either one and they have great selections that are inexpensive.
