Currently there is WAY too much ice out there to even think sbout smelting in the Duluth/Superior area.

It will be a few weeks at least.

I have seen the IDO videos of you and James fishing Lakers on Superior, Do you fish for Coho or Chinook, or catch them when Laker fishing? Is there a Population of Chinook and Coho worth fishing?

Yes there is forsure a population of salmon that are worth chasing!!

From now thru july is the best time. RIght now, i would concentrate on coho salmon in the top 15 feet of the water column. In late may and June, kings will be around and you want to run hardware int he 40 to 70 foot depths.

I can consistantly go out and target salmon and be successful from now until end of june.

And YES, boats are going out of Duluth!!

Just holler if you need any more info!
