Anyone know if the mud line along the south shore has cleared at all? Thinking about trying that Sunday morning if the water is clear and the fish may be around.

Still mud from the clay banks to poplar. Not many fish either. I spent 4 hours out there yesterday and only got 1 walleye and 2 small kings. I would fish some place else.

Thanks, I decided to fish another day by Silver Bay. Pretty slow there for me. Only two coho in four hours on Sunday. Does anyone make a good map of Superior for a humminbird? The Lakemaster map is a joke. Below is a picture of my screen. Map shows I should be in about 16′ and I was in 290′ of water. Map was off at least 100′ or more, and no hint of any reefs. I think Lakemaster owes me for a downrigger weight, and a dipsy diver.

Not sure where your from, but I have the navonics one and it seems pretty close to what I’ve seen, you get by S Mpls and I’ll fire it up for ya.

Not sure what it’ll tell ya other than to look at how it’s laid out though, come to think of it.

I have the Navionics and Lakemaster chips for Superior. Once you get away from Duluth a ways they are both pretty awful. But up near Silver Bay… both chips will basically tell you when you’re about to hit shore and if there’s a reef in a general area and that’s about it. The depth readings really aren’t useful or accurate.
