Anybody have any experience with any of the Charter boats out of Duluth or Superior? What is the best time of the year to go out? Thanks in advance, Chuck

I would be looking further up the shore line this time of year. WI would be Apostle Islands and MN would be two harbors or Silver bay area now. Im sorry but dont know of any charters. Laker action will be getting hot now to end of sept around duluth but the salmon are headed North with cooler water.

A friend from work was fishing Lake Superior on his honeymoon. Fished two half days for 600 dollars, and boated 3 lakers. I was in Milwaukee harbor at the same time basically with my walleye trolling gear (dipsy divers)16.5 foot/50 horse boat and went 21 for 26 on kings, rainbow, and a few browns. Lake Michigan has been on fire for the last couple of months from Door County down to Racine. Everybody should do themselves a favor and try this at least once in their lives. Non resident annual license 50.00 and a great lakes trout and salmon stamp 10.00. Well worth the cost of admission.

and a three day license is even cheaper.

    BEWARE: Besides catching, it’s catching…
