I was just wondering if anyone knows if the bays for siskwit river in cornicopia or the cranbery river in herbster ever lock up with enough ice for some hard water fishing like chequamagon bay does.

Has to be a very cold year for that to happen. When you do get ice in them areas most who ice fish there take and drag a small boat along. Some great fishing out off of bark point & bay in the winter just watch the ice conditions and what way the wind is if you do make it out.

ive seen some of those guys going out of bark bay years back,i walked out maybe 50 yards and didnt think much of the ice conditions, very brave and fearless people,id stick to chequamegon bay and the islands myself, but thats only because i like to be dry and warm when im catching fish.

I have a cabin in Corny–and like they say–it does freeze up–but lil spooky and all it takes is a change in wind and ice goes with it—just stop in to Halverson in Corny and buy some fish!! lol good luck
