Out of Mcquade today, did very well on lake trout. There is a 10 plus degree temp break with dirty water about 2 o’clock out from mcquade. Pulled cranks and 2 downriggers thru the warm dirty water and got a limit fairly quick. Lots of bugs out there and this is what the surface fish are eating. Fish down 40 feet or so are feeding on smelt.
Anything with dots produced on the boards and any white spoon produced on the riggers. Make sence? Lol. Riggers were down 45 feet over 130 fow. Lots of good sized fish today with one tank lost at the net. Keep speeds higher around 2.3 and you should do better. Now to sleep as Holst is kidnapping me for a few days here so I better get some rest. Good luck and remember find that darker water that is warm. Oh ya and fish bit good 6 to 10 am then slowed down.
