Yesterday myself and a couple of buddies went and fished the south shore of lake superior. we did ok trolling, we ended up with 8 fish in the box, 4 coho and 4 brown trout. the biggest brown trout was 30 inches. Almost all of our fish came on reef runner 700 ripsticks. we trolled around the warmest water we could find. we trolled out from shore, not very close and that is how we got out fish, almost all of them were in the top 5 feet of the water column. we did get one fish on 3 colors of lead core with a williams spoon on it. just about everything on lake superior is now open, minus the boat landings. washburn and bayfield were still frozen. if you want I uploaded video of yesterday on both my facebook page and my captain Tanner Wildes guide service facebook page.

    Good luck,
    Tanner Wildes
