Big girls are putting on the fall feedbag

Took my son fishing for the evening bite and look what happened. Rod was bent over good and he says its a pike I think,then when he got it up to the pier he was disapointed a little and said its a carp and then all of a sudden he SCREAMS its a huge walleye,bigger than anything he has ever caught.Get the net may have been repeated several times rapidly. It went 29″ and after a few pics he released her to fight another day. He was using a slip bobber rig with red hook and fathead in about 8′ of water along a submerged weed edge.

Very nice Walleye

Great fish and some nice photos.

I remember my first walleye over 28″s came off a fishing pier. I had left a sucker minnow right on the surface next to the dock while some guys where messing around on the other side of it. When I came back to grab my fishing pole the walleye was on it. This was at night and I figure she must of been cruising the dock feeding on the small sunfish hanging around it.
