I had the chance to fish Mazaska for a few hours in the afternoon and evening today. Bite was okay late afternoon, catching about 12 crappies in two hours. After dark bite was almost non existent, with only a couple fish through the hole from dark until 7pm. Most fish came on size 10 demon, pink/white, tipped with a waxie or minnow head.

Thanks for the report. What size were the crappies and how much ice was out there?

Thanks for the report! Are they using sleds & wheelers yet? How’s the ice? Doug

Sleds, wheelers and full size trucks being used. There was about 11 inches of ice in the area I was fishing. Crappies were not the biggest, largest was about 10 inches. Most were in the 6-8 inch range.

Water clarity was good, you should have no problem using a camera.
