Ok boys–heading up on fri. nite to kamp dels to take the family out of town for the weekend. But this year is a bonus, the neighbors are going along, that means more for the wife to do without me and less time for her to think about things that I should be doing with her instead of fishing. The only downside is not being able to swim with the kids, but i guess i won’t have to sit in pee water. haha. ITs a great place for kids to go if you like the rat race cause its always been a mini-city whenever i’ve been there, but as always a great place to go once and a while. But anyways back to point hows the lakes around the area? What are you catching the walleys on. Are the panfish still around clear lake in waseka, cause I think that the neighbor and I might take the boys down there one day to get on some, anyways I guess I would like to go somewheres else around the area other than sakatah and titonka, to get more familiar with neighboring lakes cause we might be going up there more and more now that the kids are getting older

Francis might be a spot to look at. Always sunnies hitting my bass worms.

What type of fish are you looking for?
Lots of lakes around this area.
German is always easy pickens on panfish, constant action for the kids, good bass and walleye lake too, although I haven’t heard a bunch about either from out there recently and haven’t fished there as much as I usually do.
Madison has a good sunfish and crappie bite going on right now too with a little better size.
Walleyes, probably Tetonka and Madison have the best bites going on them right now. Guys are getting them trolling or casting cranks mainly pretty shallow, although pitching jigs may still get you some.
