Inspite of the past few days crazy weather, is anyone catching fish in the area??? I hope to get out later this week if that darn sunshine decides to show its bright face.

I haven’t been in that area, but I have heard hearsay and rumors of action on Valentine lake which I suspect is actually Ballyntyne (Sp?) for ‘eyes in 13-14 ft. of water pulling shad raps, but it’s rumor and I don’t know what size walleyes so take it for what it’s worth. Have you fished the Blue earth river for walleyes??? Any size??? Sounds like channel and flathead fishing is still holding up on the MN river. Some pictures of brutes floating around. Let me know if you give Valentine/Ballantyne a shot…I’ve never fished on it.

Well Friday morning I made it out on Lake German. The wind was blowing pretty good out the north/northwest, but that only helped as I managed to boat 22 largemouth bass from 12″ on up to a 20.5″ sow… I also managed a few walleyes in the 13″-16″. Rattlin baits along the weedlines was the order of the morning.

I have never fished Ballentene [sp] either but I have heard rumors that its a good lake for walleyes with very little pressure due to it being a small lake. It seems like the lakes with resorts/campgrounds on them have alot of pressure and the ones that don’t have resorts/campgrounds get little pressure. That being the case, there could be some real good fish in those lakes. Thanks, Bill
