made it out there last weekend (4/6). Went out with a few friends. Everybody was bundled up and the wind was blowing pretty bad. Cruised around the lake some, and then stayed on the west side by the park. Didn’t throw out any bait, guys were complaining too much. But i threw out a few lines to remove the memory out of the line.

Was more of an opportunity to get the boat out and open it up, now its already to go for this weekend. Hoping to hit up some faribault lakes or Bylesby again. Might go by myself, so i don’t have to put up w/ all the complaining.

Should also note that they had the dam opened up and and the current was flowing pretty good, but there wasn’t as much deprise in the lake as i was expecting. *But still be careful.

Ventured out on Byllesby on 4/27. Made it out there at 4:30. Cruised around for a little bit, no one else was on the lake. Water levels were down some, west side was pretty shallow. Had lines rigged with 1/16oz yellow jigs with crappie minnows. Dropped the lines down 4′ in 6-8fow. Tossed the lines towards some fallen logs and branches. 2 min of sitting, bobbers started to drop. Pulled out 15 crappies in a couple hours between two of us. Most were 11-12″, but a few just under 10″. Released them all. Highlight of the day, was unintentionally pulling in a 24″ eye, which released immediatly.
