My son and I fished Lake Zumbro last Sunday just as the rain was stopping and had most of the lake to ourselves for awhile. We had fished a tournament on a new lake the day before and got our behinds booted, we needed a little confidence booster. Lake Zumbro didn’t let us down. We fished for about 2.5 hrs and caught 6 nice (2#+) largemouth and my son caught his biggest smallie to date (3#). I’ve been hearing about muskies on this lake and I know the DNR have been stocking for a few years, has anyone caught any muskies of any size on this lake? Thought it might be worth a try.

Worms and jigs on the sandy shores, no rocks. Tried a few cranks with no success.

16′ Northwoods (red) with a couple casting seats and a 50 horse Merc on the back.

Just got back from a family/friends bass tournament up by Garrison. Had a great time, even ran into Al Lindner who autographed my son’s tournament cap. 2 cool.
