Just a heads up. Just saw on the morning news that pools of carp are thinning out the ice on lake Elysian in Waseca county and vehicles have been going thru.

Just checked the DNR lake site and the deepest part is 13’….never heard of this lake before.

Saw that too , the lake is north of Waseca,Mn and east of Waterville.
I used to camp there at the campground on the lake.

If I got my bearings straight, Elysian is a couple miles N of Janesville, which is on Hwy 14, W of Waseca.

Its on Hwy #60 west of Faribault between Waterville and Madisin Lake. If you are coming from the south its just north of Janesville.
    Thanks, Bill

Yes it has been a problem all winter with the carp even after the cold weather lots of small holes that are bigger than they look 4 to 6 inchs in the bad spots. Lots of carp that still have not moved. same spot for weeks now.
