I am going to be fishing Green Lake near Spicer, MN this weekend. I know there are plenty of bass in the lake, but I am looking for some walleyes. I was just wondering if anyone had any past experience on this lake.

If you launch at the public landing in Spicer, head to the north side of the lake. You will find some great structure, lots of humps and bumps. I have had good success running live bait rigs off these humps. Good luck.

TIme if day is a big factor on this lake. Yes this lake has a lot of structure and it could take a guy many years to figure a lot of it out.

The North side as DOn mentioned is a good place to start. Definitely acquire a map.
I recommend starting in the 30 foot range, utilizing the wind.
I have had good success fishing wind blown shore lines and submerged structure.

Crawler harness would be my first go to in hammered chrome or gold.

COme evening(and don;t be shy fishing after dark a bit) try on top of some of the weed covered humps(Lone tree is a good spot). Shallow as 9-10 feet casting shad raps, jerks etc.

Or trolling around the edges of said structure.

Good luck and let us know how you fair!

I plan on gettting up there in the near future myself!
