My son and I are looking to run up from IA to fish Tetonka This weekend 10/7. Any good reports on the fishing. This will be our first time on Tetonka and any advice would be helpful. Looking for ‘eyes mainly and other species.

    Thanx guys

My personal preference this time of year would be Sakatah. Spend a lot of time pulling shads along the north shoreline on the break (where it drops from 4-8,9feet) If this doesn’t produce, try throwing lipless rattle-traps in the same area towards evening 1-3 ft of water.

Also, don’t be afraid to troll cranks on Cannon Lake. There are good, quality and quantity walleyes in that system!

Big bull sunfish and dandy crappies have been biting lately. 7-12 ft. of water.
The walleye bite is just starting to come around. Some on cranks, others are getting a few rigging and jigging.

Thanx for the info. Can I get to Cannon Lake and Sakahta Lake from Tetonka? Been trying to find some lake maps on google search, but came up empty handed. I guess I could go look on the depthfinder on my Navionics card. Any links would be helpfull on these lakes.

    Thanx again

Yah you can get to sakatah from Tetonka. But you’ll have to drive to Cannon. (Same System just can’t get there by boat)
