Haven’t been on the ice for 4 days. Muskies were on a tear last week and probably will continue until the season closes here soon. Had to go back to work after a month off. I’m having tug on the line withdrawal right now. Any deep water 25-35′ basin walleye bite going on Shields? I have heard rumors, but just wondering if it’s just that-a rumor? TGIF
Haven’t been to SHields, but the locals there have been pretty tight lipped in the past. I have seen some pretty consistent crappie fishing. I like to fish for crappies, depending on their bite, keeping the walldogs in the back of my head. OK, in the front!! Finding (decent)walleyes in Southern Minnesota lakes isn’t the easiest endeavor!

You couldn’t catch a walleye with dynamite in Martin county in the last 3 weeks. Was a good crappie bite on most lakes right after freeze up (Christmas / New Years) but nothing since then. It’s getting old. Don’t even feel like going out anymore.
