Hey, did anyone catch the recent headin’ outdoors on KAAL this week. Anchor Man, I really enjoyed the ice fishing on the news. Who here you fishing with, he was really hauling the gills in! Did you give your camera man crap cause he didn’t get you catching any fish, or was that the editors joke? 
None the less, i really enjoy your Headin’ Outdoors and fish tales segments.

The guy I was fishing with is an old friend of mine from high school. I REALLY didn’t catch a thing! Wasn’t the camera guy or the editor’s fault (BTW I edit the stories). My ice fishing ability, or disability, is probably my lack of experience. I haven’t been ice fishing in close to 20 years. Scott made it look pretty easy, but he promised to take me out again for a chance at redemption.

Well I hope that you fair better the next time out. I am from the Albert Lea area and fish Fountain lake all winter long, it has been about as slow all year as your day on the ice. 
Yea, I remember seeing something about that also, and if I recall, you were using a crank? Never tried it that way before, I just throw a small jig with a Mr. Twister. When it is hot down there is is hard not to catch one every other cast. “Reel” fun.
