Has anyone been on Madison this year?

    I heard there was another shad kill on the lake. The last time that happened the fishing was ridiculous. Walleye were chasing your bait to the boat . Unfortunetly they were only about 14 inches . I’m curious if anyone has been on Madison yet and if they’ve noticed a good bite from anything.

    I was fishing there last week and was able to catch crappies and sunfish. Not tons, but if you were on a pod, they bit right away. I hadn’t heard about a shad die-off or noticed anything but it wouldn’t surprise me. If there was, look out on opener, 100 boats all with a tank full.

    It’s been confirmed, there was a kill of shad this winter. If history is any indication, this might be the lake to check out for ‘eyes this year.
