There are a bunch of lakes in this area. Is anybody ice fishing the area lakes that would care to share about the bite going on? Thanks, Bill

The walleye bite is slow/inconsistent. Panfish bite is decent, but quality is not. Ice has been 10-12 inches+ although I heard there was open water on some lakes in waterville/mankato area during the last 50 degree day w/the rain and wind causing white caps on top of the ice on tetonka. One vehicle dropped the front end in on Lake Washington. Not much worth reporting in the area…lot’s of fisherman on the ice getting a couple here, couple there.

Thanks Brian. Would sure appreciate any reports you could give us as there are alot of fishermen who like to ice fish these lakes for panfish and walleyes. Especially for panfish. Thanks, Bill

I haven’t been down there yet. However, a buddy of mine’s brother caught a solid 40″ ski on French. He just set up the tip-up for some pike action and the flag went immediately.

Fishing is pretty much one here…two there. Once in awhile a nice one. Been here tried there…same results. Too much pressure, too many fish going out and not enough to replenish going back in. It’s lucky to pound out a meal to fry on a day’s trip.
