Cedar Lake?

I have not fished this area at all and I would like to give it a try. How are the ramp conditions on these area lakes, someone had told me they were mostly dirt and with limited parking. I would like to fish a lake in this area with good bass, crappie and or walleye populations. Any suggestions? I was looking at Cedar, Roberds and French to start with.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks!

Cedar Lake has one side of the ramp sand and the other side has some concrete. There are some nice bass and crappies in there. Fish casting to the islands for bass and weedlines and crappies can also be caught that way or trolling beetle spins or small marlbou jigs between the islands for crappies works too. The lake has 1000’s of stunted panfish-bluegills all around the islands which are great for taking kids fishing. Just use a hook, splitshot and bobber with a real small piece of crawler. Let us know how you do.
    Thanks, Bill

    Bill,

Thanks for the info. I did not get up there this past weekend although I was at Cabela’s looking around the sidewalk sales. I stopped in Rochester to fish Foster for the first time along the way. We did okay but we did not take any bait with us and only caught small bluegills, bass and I have never seen so many warmouth under 3″. I will definitely have to give that another shot.

Not sure when I will get to Cedar but it is on the list for this summer. Thanks again and I’ll let you know how we do when we get there.
