My Dad and brother were on French Sunday the 6th fishing Muskies and were very disappointed in the water quality. They were home in 2 hours and said that almost every cast resulted in weeds and/or mossy slime on their baits.
The lake shore property owners like to cut the weeds down out there and add to that boats and props running through the weedbeds and it gets pretty churned up and now the algae explosions will add to the mix. Makes it tough to fish.
WEED CHOPPING IS DONE. DNR SAID NO MORE. SO THINGS SHOULD SETTLE DOWN SOME OTHER THAN THE HIGH WATER. HEARD THEY GOT SPLASHED ON PRETTY GOOD LAST NIGHT. MUSKIE WERE SWARMING THE SHALLOWS SUNDAY EVENING OF MEMORIAL DAY WEEKEND. GUNDY
