A small group of us are thinking of heading up for a long weekend. I have not been on the lake in years.

Can someone rattle off a short list of some decent shack (sleeper) rental outfits?

We would be coming out of Rochester, MN.

    Thanks

Hunter’s Point has nice sleeper houses. If you go to their website, they have pictures of most of the houses now. Two weeks ago when I was up they had a bunch of houses on a good perch bite. I’m headed up this weekend to check it out myself.

We did a spur of the moment stop on the way home from up north. We brought our portables, but used the Hunter’s Point roads. There roads are in great shape and get you out to some good fishing. We were able to use our Lakemaster and Navionics chips to set up on a nice transition area in about 28′ of water. First time up to Mille Lacs this year and we found some walleye.

It looks like Hunter’s Point has their houses on some pretty decent spots… for them!

Red door is a sponsor of the site, see their ad at the top of the page. I use hunters quite a bit as its not quite as far a drive north and they access a lot of territory on the mud. If you prefer to stay on the south end, I’d recommend Lybacks or Appledorns Sunset Bay. There are many others on the south shore, these two are the ones I am familiar with.
