Me and my dad are heading up to Mille lacs on the 17th or mlk day and i will be heading out of the red door and i was just curious what depths and baits should we look for and use??? also what flats or structure should we fish?? we will be fishing for one day and fishing from 6:30am-6 or so pm.
any help will be appreciated

Any of the flats should be a good option for morning/evening fishing… look for any type of irregularity that would hold fish(inside/outside hook, steep drop, tip of a point) and focus there in the morning. Drill lots of holes that cover from the top of the flat to 50-100 feet past the bottom break for hole hopping and set your house up on either the top or bottom edge. If you don’t have any luck… keep moving.
During the day if you’re looking for perch try the sand/mud breakline in 25-30+ FOW.
