I am free to hit the pond Wednesday PM through Friday Noon, Thursday all day for sure. I have all gear including house for 2, power auger and vex. If you are interested in going please note that you will need a power auger. Plan on drilling a least 50 holes throughout the day to ensure we stay on fish. I would like to fish the mud during the day and the rocks in the evening. As of this past Saturday moving around with a ½ ton was not an issue as there was not much snow on the ice. I do have a ¾ ton Suburban but I will need to verify that ice is ready for ¾ ton before heading out unless you are willing to drive. Most of day we hole hopped and did not use the house. If you plan on going please have all the outside gear to be able to fish outside. Usually I only set the fish house up for the evening bite once we locate them to settle in. I just want you to know what you are signing up for if you respond be prepared for a work out.

How much ice do you think you need? I also have a 3/4 Diesel Suburban. Always worried about driving the beast on the ice until late January. Been looking for a UTV to put on trailer.

I was told 1/2 ton only. BUT for ME to dive out I want to see 15 inch of ice with a 3/4 Ton. I only saw 12-13 so By this week we should be good BUT I will check with the resort that I will drive on at prior to making the trip. Again this is my rule of thumb.

    How was the fishing?

I targeted perch and found them. All on the east side reefs. I was by my self and had to put a lot of work in but it paid off with 10 really big jumbos.
